Meet Milka

Hi, I’m Milka.

I help travellers sort through all the choices and find the cruise or journey that actually fits the way they want to travel.

Whether that means a small ship, an expedition, a river cruise, an active adventure or simply a really beautiful escape, I start with you — not a brochure.

I’ve experienced cruising firsthand—from larger ocean ships to an intimate 48-guest expedition ship in the Galápagos. Those experiences have shown me just how different one ship, atmosphere and style of cruising can feel from another—and why finding the right cruise fit matters.

Ways to Explore

How do you want to travel?

01

Why Choose a Small-Ship Cruise?

Love exploring new destinations but prefer a more intimate cruising experience?

Small-ship cruising offers fewer crowds, a more relaxed atmosphere and itineraries designed around discovering destinations. Depending on the ship and itinerary, you may enjoy longer stays in port and access to places larger ships cannot visit.

From Oceania and Azamara to Windstar, I'll help you discover which small-ship experience suits the way you love to travel.

02

What Is an Expedition Cruise, and Is It Right for Me?

Ever dreamed of exploring Antarctica, encountering incredible wildlife or visiting some of the world's most remote destinations?

Expedition cruising is about exploration. Think smaller ships, expert guides, Zodiac excursions and opportunities to experience nature up close.

And here's something you might not realize: you don't necessarily have to be an experienced adventurer. Different expedition cruises offer different activity levels, so finding the right fit matters.

From Quark Expeditions to Lindblad Expeditions, I'll help you discover which experience matches your interests, comfort level and sense of adventure.

03

What Makes a River Cruise Different From an Ocean Cruise?

Imagine waking up in the heart of a beautiful European town, enjoying your morning coffee and stepping ashore to explore.

That's one of the things I love about river cruising.

Unlike traditional ocean cruises, river ships are smaller, travel inland waterways and often dock within walking distance of historic towns and cities.

You'll typically enjoy guided excursions, with opportunities to explore independently. Many river cruise lines also include meals, wine and beer with lunch and dinner, and selected shore excursions, although inclusions vary.

Whether you're exploring Europe's rivers with AmaWaterways, Avalon or Scenic, I'll help you find the right combination of destinations, experiences and onboard comforts.

04

What Is Active Travel, and How Active Do I Need to Be?

Love exploring new destinations but want to do more than simply see the sights?

Active travel lets you experience a destination differently. Imagine hiking spectacular coastal trails, cycling through beautiful countryside or discovering places you might never reach on a traditional holiday.

And here's something worth knowing: you don't have to be an athlete! Active travel comes in different levels, from leisurely walking holidays to more challenging adventures.

The key is finding an experience that matches your interests, fitness level and comfort.

Whether you prefer a gentle introduction or something more adventurous, I'll help you find a journey that suits you.

What Is a Curated Sailing, and Why Should I Consider One?

Ever come across a cruise itinerary and thought, now THAT'S a trip I'd love to experience?

That's exactly why I created my collection of curated sailings.

These are handpicked cruises that have caught my attention because of their destinations, ships, itineraries or something special they offer.

The featured 2027 and 2028 sailings below are examples of the journeys I can help you plan. Looking to travel sooner, or dreaming of a completely different cruise? I can help you explore those options too.

Take my Paris & Seine City Escapes sailing, for example. It's about more than cruising the Seine. It's about experiencing Paris, exploring beautiful French towns and enjoying the journey along the way.

Some departures may offer group or hosted opportunities, depending on the sailing.

I'll help you discover whether one of these special journeys is the right fit for you.

Curated Sailing · Active & Discovery

Is there a Rhine river cruise for travellers who want more than traditional sightseeing?

Cruise Line
Avalon Waterways
Sailing Date
September 25–October 2, 2027
Journey
Active & Discovery on the Rhine · Southbound

Yes. Avalon Waterways’ Active & Discovery on the Rhine gives travellers more choice in how they experience each destination. Alongside traditional sightseeing, you can choose from active, cultural and culinary experiences such as biking, hiking, foodie tours, local brewery visits, and even a graffiti workshop.

I chose the September 25–October 2, 2027 southbound sailing because I love that not everyone has to experience the Rhine the same way. One day you may want to be active, another day you may want food, culture or classic sightseeing.

That’s what curated travel should feel like — finding the right fit for the right traveller, not just putting any traveller on any cruise.

Why Cruise with Milka

So many cruises. Let’s find the one that fits you.

Whether you’re planning your first cruise or looking forward to your next, finding the right one can take time. There are ships to compare, itineraries to consider, cabin choices to make—and plenty of options that can leave even experienced cruisers second-guessing.

That’s where I come in.

We start with a conversation about you—what you enjoy, your budget, how you like to travel, and what you want from this trip. If you’ve cruised before, I want to know what you loved—and what you’d do differently next time.

Then I do the research.

I compare the options and present the cruises I believe fit you best, explaining why I recommend them and the differences worth considering. Together, we look at the ship, the atmosphere, the itinerary, the cabin, and what’s included so you can make an informed choice.

I know the ships. I know the cruise lines. But first, I get to know you.

My job is to save you time, make the choices clearer, and help you find—and book—the cruise that feels right for you.

A Little Personality

Travel should give you stories to tell.

I love a beautiful ship, incredible food, wildlife encounters, a great glass of wine, getting outside and discovering places that make you stop and say, “Wow.”

Travel should give you stories to tell — not just somewhere to sleep for seven nights.

A Few Helpful Answers

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which cruise is right for me?

We start with what you enjoy when you travel—your pace, interests, destinations, ship style and budget. Then I narrow down the choices and help you compare the best fits.

Do you only book small-ship and river cruises?

No. I work with river, expedition, small-ship and larger ocean cruise lines. The goal is not to fit you into one type of cruise—it’s to find the cruise that fits you.

What if I already know which cruise line or itinerary I want?

Perfect. I can help with that too. If you already have something in mind, we can start there and make sure the ship, itinerary and experience match what you’re looking for.

What happens after I contact you?

We’ll have a conversation about what you’re looking for. From there, I research and compare the options, explain the differences and help you choose the one that feels right.

Do you charge a planning fee?

For some trip-planning requests, yes. If a planning fee applies to your trip, I’ll explain it clearly before we begin.

Personal care. Memorable journeys.
